Greetings!  I am Claudette Richardson originally from the Island of St. Thomas United States Virgin Islands.  Blessed with three wonderful children and five amazing granddaughters who I consider my precious jewels!  My leisure-time activities include watching sunsets, listening to music, and traveling.  With a background in the hospitality industry, I changed my career path.

I began volunteering at a childcare center where I got inspired and felt obligated in helping children to explore, grow and learn in a safe nurturing environment.  Finding my passion in Early Childhood Education, I enjoyed working as a preschool teacher and eventually as Center Director for 16 years. Currently I am employed with a non-profit organization working in the Liberty City Community.

In June of 2017, I completed the Master Class cohort with the Business Leadership Institute for Early Learning (BLI). The BLI has boosted my confidence, my professionalism, and personal growth in the childcare industry. As your mentor, I am looking forward to providing guidance, support, and the tools you will need to successfully complete your journey in the upcoming sessions.  

It is a pleasure to serve as your assigned Mentor, and I am looking forward to getting to know you and together we will complete the cohort.  Believe it!  You can do it!
