John Whymss is the Business Development Consultant for Wells Fargo’s South and Southeast Florida regions. He is responsible for supporting 30 Wells Fargo branches that have a variety of banking professionals to help our communities grow and succeed financially.

A 13-year veteran in financial services, John previously served as Retail and Small Business Segment Consultant in Wells Fargo’s South and Southeast Florida markets. He began his career as a Peak-Time teller for Wachovia Bank in 2007, and served in other roles throughout his career as a Lead Teller, Service Manager and Branch Manager.

A South Florida native, John is very active in the community. He is a current participant of the Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami program. He also engages in volunteering with his local church. He has engaged in financial education programs with the Business Leadership Institute for early learning, who also collaborates with Florida International University; focused on empowering small business owners in the early childhood education industry to start, run and grow their early learning centers.
